This started out as a simple animation experiment: learning to force a torus to rotate in on itself.
Then I started piling on a bunch of modifiers, to give the holes and spikes in various places, to add some visual interest.
Then I realised I’d need some interesting materials if I was going to render it out into something visually captivating.
The combination of the three elements ended up being a little weird, but I’ve included it in my Sketchblog anyway. Maybe it’s something to draw ideas from in the future.
